Class description: Join us at Smith and Bybee as we plant grass' lesser-known cousins, the sedges, to support the habitat of our wetland friends. Participants will learn about the importance of sedges and how to plant them, as well as have some bird watching opportunities in this valuable urban wetland. Please note, this activity may occur on uneven terrain and involves more physical activities such as bending, kneeling, stooping or working with tools for digging and planting.
